Ark, aka Addy from Singapore, started his days collecting and playing with vinyl records and was a big fan of Platipus Rec., Flying Rhino Rec., Dragonfly Rec. His Dj roots go way back in 1996, flashback to the Trance,Goa-Trance underground scene. With old-school artists influence such as Man With No Name, X-Dream, Slinky Wizard, Art Of Trance (Platipus Rec.) Union Jack (Platipus Rec.) Quietman (PlatipusRec.)
This became Ark’s Djing foundation for years to come. After some solid years, Ark stopped following the trance scene and moved on to Tribal Tech House in 2002. Keen on exploring further, he was amazed by the Gili Air Space Bar, a discovery in the psychedelic sound of trance on that peaceful island. Somewhere along LombokIndonesia, a secret island party, which brought him his first psyCDs from Purple Hexagon Records. And Ark has been digging thelush psychedelic sounds ever since.
In 2013, he joined the collective, Free Earth. And together with Free Earth and Om Project, Ark has organized underground sessions around Singapore, where more adventures await. Also aregular Dj for the annual Burning Island festival, do check that outin the serene Gili Islands.
Ark’s experience with sound and music continued the adventure for exploration. Actively playing his sets with a smooth and steady vibe for the dancefloor. A versataile Dj, Ark enjoys both morning and night sounds. Be it clear melodies or a twisty nighttime flow, italways transcends a consistent feel. From Groovy Morning Fullon, to Twisted Twilight Fullon. There is a clear feel to his sound. When it’s time to relax, he likes to play Downtempo Psychill too.

DJ for nearly 15 years! In trance since 1995.
The meaning of OOTA:
The name OOTA is taken from the book „Mutant Message Down Under“ (written by Marlo Morgan) which is a very interesting real story about an American visiting the Aboriginals (the real humans) in Down-Under. She is the chosen one who is allowed to take part in the “Walkabout”, a tour through the Australian jungle. She has to burn all of her cloths, neat and documents cause she has to experience the nature like the Aboriginals do. The only English speaking member of this group is the Aboriginal OOTA explaining and showing her that talent, which everybody has inside, has to be heeded and grant-aided. Some of them f.e. are able to telepathy. He also shows her that the Aboriginals live in a singular harmony with the nature since 5000 years and that they respect the nature! The modern world like Europe or the U.S. have forgotten that and OOTA tries to explain what is really important on this planet in a musical way, with sounds, throwing you back to your roots and ancient experiences.
