Babaganousha Radio is now streaming in aac+ format!
Good news! From today i have switched the stream format of my station to aac+ (96 kbps). This format sounds much better then a mp3 stream at a higher bitrate (192kbps). I have tested it with many players like Winamp (5.x), foobar2000 and VLC.

Windows Media Player (WMP) users:
There is a new free plug-in for playing AAC and aacPlus files from
within Windows Media Player. This is put out by Orban and Coding
Technolgies. The aacPlus plug-in is still in beta, but should work with
playing all your streaming aacPlus Internet streams in WMP 10.
click on the button to download the plugin.
How to tune in:
just click on the WMP icon on the right side!
Quote from their website about this plug-in:
"The
Orban/Coding Technologies AAC/aacPlus⢠Plugin is a free, full-featured
software plug-in for Microsoft Windows Media Player. It is capable of
playing AAC/aacPlusâ¢/HE-AAC/eAAC+ audio files and streams in several
standards-based, non-proprietary formats using the genuine Coding
Technologies decoder. This is the good stuff from the company who
invented the SBR technology to make AAC into aacPlusâ¢. High quality,
bandwidth-efficient audio is now a reality for Windows Media Player."
Linux users: applications using the open source AAC decoder FAAD2 should be able to play the aacPlus stream, because it is using Coding Technologies' standard-compliant HE AAC codec. There are a lot of Linux players which have implemented FAAD2 in the meantime, see this Wiki page on Audiocoding.com
If you don't want to install Winamp 5.x there is a portable version available at :
